Untill this is fixed, you could avoid annoyance by using borderless play window. In full screen mode your (2) borders will be vanished too:
right-click > Options > Preferences > Video and then check (=select) "Borderless play window"
(You will have to close the movie file and load it again before the new setting will be active)
