Default .ogm files won't play since reformat :(

I installed the k-lite mega codec pack with all the filters etc (megacodecpack.com) but whenever I open a .ogm file I get a dead black screen. I tried switching the overlays, and forcing rgb but nothing can play the files. Media Player Classic can play everything just fine so I know it's not that I am just missing files. I even tried downloading a Non-release canidate version of bs player from this website since the one in the codec pack was an RC, but still no luck.

If anybody has any ideas how to fix this PLEASE tell me as this is my favorite player and I would hate to not be able to use it anymore (especially since i found a remote control plugin for my ati remote wonder now...)

All codec pack sux, all you need is this and nothing else:
FFDShow - http://athos.leffe.dnsalias.com/ffdshow-20040629.exe
AC3Filter - http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/a...b.exe?download
OggDS - http://www.vorbis.com/files/1.0/tobias/OggDS0995.exe

In principle I agree to the remark in the first line of the previous post (though I would say it a little less "absolute").
However, unless you have an older PC (with a low capacity CPU and graphics card, for which I would indeed recommend ffdshow as well), I would recommend to install individual codecs as needed.

to humor you, i installed the above listed files, and still no luck with bsplayer working.... again, a different program can play ogm files perfectly fine, it can switch streams, turn subtitles on and off etc... i simply do not want to use a different player and need a fix for the player!

Did you install ffdshow or instead follow this link and the pages it (indirectly) links to in turn?

both, i have tried to install all the individual codecs, and DS filters... again it's only bs player that doesn't work :(, Funny thing is when i uninstall every codec/filter > reset > then reinstall them again > reset > after this i can play 1 file with bs player ONE time..... the next time Any ogm file is ever opened it doesn't work, so it must be setting some setting or getting currupted on play or something....
