before I reformat... It's an XP SP2 box that was playing mp3's just fine since I built it months ago. The default windows Mp3 codec is still installed but it's simply "no go". bs player "just sits there" when instructed to play an mp3 file. WMP9/10 give me error code C00D1199, which basically means "no codec for this type". I tried re-installing the mp3 codec, reinstalling bs player, reinstalling wmp 10, reinstalling sound card drivers, reinstalling wmp 9... nothing works. My computer simply will not play mp3 files as of last night, when I installed bsplayer. any ideas welcome... bs player seemed cool (I used the decremental playback 1% feature last night to slow down a movie that was encoded too fast and it worked great) but "breaking" my xp box was a pretty unforgiveable act! Hope someone can help me out here. |

1. If you have an MP3 harrdware decoding audio card (audigy for example) try to disable. 2. Install Elecard MPEG2 decoder. It should work. 3. Install divx3.11. It comes with an alternate MP3 decoder. |

Maybe installed and uninstalled another video-application recently? Perhaps check out item (e) near the bottom of my Help2Help-post?
