multiple audio streams I really love my BSPlayer but I have a problem with the newest version 2.23. I cannot choose between multiple audio streams. I have a huge collection of (selfmade, so legal) dvd rips. Most of them with eng and ger audio streams, but in the BSPlayer audio menue the entry "Audio streams" is disabled. Vlc can switch between them. Most of my audio streams are ac3 some are mp3. I tried a lot of different codecs, noone worked. Furthermore I write a little bsi script that should play the second audio stream, vain. Same with the "second audio stream" plugin on this site. BSPlayer always plays the first stream and ignores the other(s). Can anybody help me? thx |

What type of movie-file? What codec/filter is BS.Player using? (With moviefile loaded: Rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced) No problems here with DivX5.2.1 as decoder (for e.g. LastManStanding.divx sample-movie)

It don't work with any of my files. e.g. avi decoded with DivX Decoder Filter Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ divxdec.ax, Size: 638976 bytes, Version 6.6.1.4 CompanyName: DivX, Inc. FileDescription: DivX® Decoder Filter FileVersion: 6.6.1.4 InternalName: DivXdec.ax LegalCopyright: Copyright © DivX, Inc., 2001-2007 LegalTradeMarks: OriginalFilename: DivXdec.ax ProductName: DivX® Decoder Filter ProductVersion: 6.6.1.4 Comments: DivX Video Decoder ReleaseBuild: TopSecretBuild pro+std AC3 Filter AC3Filter Location: C:\Program Files\Player\AC3Filter\ ac3filter.ax, Size: 180224 bytes, Version 0.7.0.0 CompanyName: FileDescription: ac3filter FileVersion: 0.70b InternalName: ac3filter LegalCopyright: Copyright © 2002 by Vigovsky Alexander LegalTradeMarks: OriginalFilename: ac3filter.ax ProductName: AC3Filter ProductVersion: 0.70b Comments: Direct show AC3 decoder filter I already tried to blacklist the divx and ac3 filter to use the ffdshow filters. (Rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced shows me that BSPlayer use them) In the ffdshow Audio menue there is an optione "stream switcher". I can enable this option but the "Streams" Dialog keeps on being disabled. Dunno what to do now... €: If I open the file with the divx codec, I get the message in the bottom right corner that "this file contains multiple audio streams". But I still cannot switch the audio streams... |

so u think the problem is because of DivX 6.*? There must be a way to choose audio streams with DivX 6.* If I don't be wrong VLC's codecs are based on ffdshow. So why I could change streams with VLC but not with the ffdshow audio codec in BSPlayer? |
| ||||
Sorry, cannot help you with ffdshow as I don't use it. http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=37997#37997

Can't you change track with DivX 6 even if you click (or right-click) on the DivX traybar icon? (I don't know if that is the way it's meant to work, I don't use v6) But if you can't see the multiple tracks with BSplayer (and different codecs) but you see them in VLC, then I think that your problem is the splitter.. In the Filters window (the one pointed to you by BSPeter) you can also find splitter info (usually under Source item) Try to re-register quartz.dll: START -> Run... -> regsvr32 quartz.dll

No DivX-icon here. Not needed either! :D In BS.Player I can select audio streams simply in the "rightclick-menu" > Audio > Audio streams (then select either the preferred language or "Play all" or "Choose ...")

Rather nasty attitute of DivX6.x I would say :!: :evil: [IMHO good enough reason to stay with v. 5.2.1 (my choice) or switch to XviD or ffdshow instead]
