Default screen doesn't turning off after using bsplayer

hi
i have bsplayer 2.32 build 975 free version
and every time i run bsplayer something change in my power options
in "turn off monitor"
i don't set a screensaver
only after 2 minutes i don't use my computer the screen is turning off
but when i run bsplayer and close it
my screen doesn't turning off anymore
and the weird thing is that nothing change in power options
the "turn off monitor" still set to 2 min but doesn't turning off
not until i press the ok button in power options

it happens only after i run bsplayer

is there any way around it? a fix? solution?

thanks for your help in advanced !

Tizio will become famous soon enough

OS used? XP or Vista?
Try first to update BSplayer to latest version (2.34) and then report here again if the problem persists

Just tried with v2.34 and can't confirm this, I tried to play a file and also to only start BSplayer without playing a video file and then close it...
The Switch off feature worked as expected (set to 1 minute for this test purpose)
Let me know once you've tested latest BSP release

Anyway I'm using XP SP2

download the free 2.34 build 980
install
opened bsplayer
and still not working

not untill i apply/ok the setting in power options

just a thought but...
do you have screensaver active? if you do can you try disable it and then try? cause maybe it some how connected...

p.s
i set it to 2 minutes
can't set to 1 cause my screen flash every minute instead turning off pemently (without any connection to bsplayer)

My screensaver is already disabled..
I'm trying to think about another solution to your problem or how to find the real cause, but nothings comes to my mind..sorry..
Maybe it's a problem related to your system (since your monitor flashes instead of turn off when you set 1 minute in the switch off options)

No, by default, most of the monitors have a built-in power saving mode.

I have the same problem

after using bsplayer (the newest version) the monitor does'nt turn off

i need to enter the power options properties and click "apply", and after that it works again.

it seems that the program turn off the DPMS and "forget" to turn it on
again after using the program.

my screen is lg226w
my video card is ati X1250 - integrated

Maybe it's a problem related to ATI cards + LG monitors?
Maybe this is a issue BSP devs should investigate on

Anyway I have no problems (Nvidia card + notebook display panel)

Default problem came back after reinstall windows

I reinstall Windows XP SP3, installed bsplayer(newes version), installed ATI X1250 newest drivers. the screen did turned off after the movie. but after 1 day (maybe windows update), the probelm came back - the screen doe'snt turn off after movies.
the problem with the interrupting line in the middle of the screen in bsplayer also came back. decfription of that problem: http://forum.bsplayer.com/bug-report...le-screen.html

i wish you can fix that problem.
maybe it's only with ATI cards, and maybe it's something with windows update.

thanks, Aviad
