Some extra brilliant features for Bsplayer I think that both of them is great. I used mv2player for some extra features. I think that it's programmer is very brilliant-very smart. (Czech people!) Because he have done very good jobs like ; auto subtitles language recognization, making very easy to change subtitles offset/ position/ font size, interactive OSD support... etc in 2002. But he stopped his project in 2002. Maybe he was death. :( I don't know what had happened to him. Anyway; can we see these extra features in BS.Player? 1) Dual subtitles: Thus you can watch film by 2 subtitles like English and your native language. 2) Changing subtitles position and font size with tabs: Their position and font size can changed very easily by with intellegent tabswhich are located right and left side of movie. By using your mouse you can change position up or down and font size while playing movie. You have to see this, if you don't see it before. Move your mouse to the right or left side of screen. 3) Resume playback from last file's time location after opening player. 4) Audio offset. 5) Interactive OSD support. Where you can change from OSD panel. These are the first things that I want to see in BSplayer. Have a good day. |

1. You can achieve this by using FFDShow subtitles, or VobSub, or other subtitle programs in conjunction to BSplayer subtitles 2. This is partially already possible now by changing the proper action in BSplayer Key definitions and WinLIRC preferences section (I don't know what you meant with "tabs" in this case) For more information read BSPeter's READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING sticky post 3. This is available for DVDs playback, maybe this can be added to normal videos too, good suggestion 4. Already available (CTRL+SHIFT+ARROWS by default) 5. Maybe this will be added in future versions ;)

@Tizio thanks for your message. 1)It is very simple in mv2player. Just one click you can add second subtitle into video. 2)I mean that by tabs ; (You can see tabs at the left side of screen in SS. You can change position, font size ... etc by mouse. They appears/disappears automatically when you move your mouse on the left/right side of screen.) 3)Thanks @adicoto. 4)Ok. 5)Interactive OSD SS; Again you can change Also there are 4 OSD pages like this; Base controls, Color Controls, Equalizer, Recent. I think that it's very important for remote controlling. You can change what ever you want from your sofa in big menus. 6)New! :) Pauses when the player minimized. And it resumes after maximized. Also there is an option for reset position on stop. |

2. Ok, now I got what tabs meant in this context 5. As I said it's a good suggestion, but it implies a big amount of work, and I don't expect to see it soon 6. Just use the boss button to minimize and pause the player (CTRL+P -> Key definitions and WinLIRC -> Boss key configuration)

Once there was a time when you were able to use the mouse to position the subtitle up/down. I don't remeber how you do it so I am not sure it's still alive. 2nd subtitle was asked as a feature...I believe some 3 years ago. As for the OSD, I think BSPlayers team were concerned more to use keyboard shortcuts than mouse commands. |
