Default problem with subtitles

I want to see chinese subtitles with bsplayer
but when i load my .srt
all fonts in the subtitle truns out to be strange symbols

I did change the the settings of bsplayer
and I have check my .srt by opening it with notepad
the fonts did show up properly in the notepad

Could anyone help me with this?

Do you have Chinese font loaded in Windows? I assume so as they show up correctly in notepad.
Option/Language/Chinese just selects the language of the user interface.
With respect to subtitles, you have to load a movie, then right-click on the screen and select "subtitles" etc..... pse also see:

When posting always mention your computer's OS and the version and build number(!) of BS.Player as used by you,
as well as - if applicable and especially when encountering problems - the type(s) of the file(s) mentioned in your post.
