Default Screen Capturing efforts seem to Freeze BSPlayer up - help?

Hi - I just downloaded BS Player 1.00RC1 today; and when I attempt to screen capture - the player freezes up. No capture is taken. I have to close out. I'm not sure if I've configured it incorrectly or not. I'm attemtping to play an .avi file. The picture quality is really great - but I can't seem to capture anything.

Tips and hints are greatly appreciated.
:D

Perhaps try a different setting:
rightclick > Options > Preferences > General
Then look in the "south-east" quarter under
"Convert captured images in software"

(P.S. Also settings under Options > Preferences > Video > Video rendering could be of importance)

Well, neither am I.
Depends largely on your hardware (video card).
That's why I suggested to ... try.
E.g. Convert to YV12 format .... and ... change setting of "Use overlay Mode 1".

I had the same trouble, when ever I would take a screen cap it would lock up on my and I would have to Task Manager to kill it.

After playing with the rightclick > Options > Preferences > General
and Options > Preferences > Video > Video rendering, it worked.

I did have YV12 and YUY2 both checked but until i unchecked then rechecking them and also in the Options > Preferences > Video > Video rendering I changed to Forced RGB Mode (from 'Use overly Mode 1') did it work properly. Just a suggestion

cougar337, that's exactly what I'm experiencing, having to close it with Task Manager! Which one definately works? The first one you mentioned or the second one?
