Deleting the XML file did the trick. Thanks ! :)

I have the same problem. Deleing the XML file didn't do the trick for me. However I just realized that I had installed Real Rhapsody and the controls had died after that. I uninstalled Real Rhapsody and the controls came back again. Real Networks, the king of crap software. |

Try resetting your adapter refresh rate to a lower value (60HZ or lower)
