OGM - Please, help me make it work! It used to work, but then one file with subtitles just caused BSPlayer to crash, and I began trying to fix it. Now I can not play OGM files at all without any problems. My setup: - Win XP Pro English - FFDShow 20060420 SSE - DivX 5.02 - Xvid 1.1 - Haali Splitter - VobSub 2.23 (I have tried so many versions of VSFilter that I can not remember them all, they do not work). The above lets me play .mkv files. The problem comes when I add the following. Situation 1: OGGDS 0.9.9.5 + VSFilter (or VobSub) - Crashes BSPlayer. MPC displays subtitles, but sound is scratchy and full of noise. Situation 2: OGGDS 0.9.9.6 + Ogg Vorbis Encoder/Decoder Filter (new addon to 0.9.9.6) + VSFilter (or VobSub) - BSPlayer works, but does not display the Subtitles. MPC displays subtitles but sound is scratchy and full of noise. Situation 3: Replaced OGGDS with Radlight OGG Directshow filter. And BSPlayer works, but I do not get any subtitles, in BSPlayer or MPC. GraphEdit shows that the Subtitles are being forwarded to "Internal Command Script" and only occassionally does the players display some characters of subtitles. |

Have you tried the Situation 4: OggDS 0.9.9.5 ONLY ?

Managed to find Gabest Matroska Splitter, and installed that. MKV files works perfectly, as they did with the Haali splitter too. Only problem now is that I have no DirectShow filter that works for ogm. I can use Media Player Classic, but that is about it. And unfortunately that player does not really cut it for me. If I install OGGDS 0.9.9.5 again, to handle OGM files, I still have the same problem as before. So what I really need is a way to play OGM through some other filter than OGGDS 0.9.9.5 / 0.9.9.6 or Radlights latest version. |

Can you, by any chance post here or send by email a piece of one of the file that crash your BSPlayer ? You can cut a piece using VirtualDubMod. If you need assistance with this, post here, or search on the forum. |

Exactly why this is so, I can not say. Using VirtualDubMod to cut a piece of the file does not work, since VirtualDubMod does something to destroy the streams. In itself, I suppose this is a clue. But to what, I do not really know. Update: Hmm, with the Gabest OGG Splitter installed, I am finally able to play the OGM files at all in BSPlayer, as long as I do not try to enable the subtitles..... Update2: BSRendv2.dll is the file it points to when BSPlayer crashes. But I can not find what is really causing it. |
