Bad fullscreen aspect ratio Thanks! |

Unfortunately, that is not the case. The only two things checked in the general video preferences are 'Remember Pan-Scan Settings' and 'Remember movie window size'. I also have 'Keep aspect ratio' checked if that helps. Shouldn't Shift+1 show me the original aspect ratio? Because in this case, Shift+1 brings the screen back to 4:3. |

Yes, your math is correct but I failed to mention that HDV uses a pixel aspect ratio of 1.3333 which compensates for this. To eliminate any questionable codec settings, I just tried some clips in WMPlayer and they were 16:9 in both windowed and fullscreen modes

Settings which may perhaps be of interest under (rightclick >) "Options" > "Preferences" ... could also be: ... > "General": "For full screen mode switch to" (& "At start switch to") ... > "Video" > "Video rendering" : "Extend picture to" ... > "Playlist": "Aspect" (ditto in "old style playlist" itself)
