Default No subtitles... what can I do?

My subtitles used to work just fine, but suddenly, without me changing any settings, they won't appear anymore. I tried loading them manually, reinstalled bsplayer and ffdshow, tried different video rendering modes... nothing. do you have any ideas?

I am using Bsplayer v2.11 build 940 and my video card is NVidia GeForce FX5500.

...only suggestion I can give you is to try to rename BSplayer.xml file located in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\BSplayer to BSplayer.xml.bak and then reopen BSplayer.
That file contains BSplayer setings, and by renaming it to something different BSplayer will load the default settings (and will create a new fresh BSplayer.xml file).

Try to see if this way they come back on screen..

Before doing this you can also try to move subtitles with keyboard shortcuts or by using BSplayer menu "Move subtitles..." items

But are the subtitles loaded by BSplayer (in the menu under subtitles are they listed under Subtitles -> item)?

BSPeter is on a distinguished road

Draw subtitles to overlay surface? (rightclick > Options > Preferences > Subtitles)
Type of subtitles?
New Nvidia drivers installed recently?

Please, answer to BSPeter's questions first, then if you want, try this utility I made to backup BSplayer settings (exactly the same thing I suggested you in the first reply)
