How to minimize video window?

When watching a video how can I minimize the BS player and video to the task bar? I only seem to be able to minimize the BS player and not the video screen.

You can use the Winows_Button+M to minimize BSplayer to taskbar, or assign a keyboard shortcut you prefere in Preferences window (CTRL+P -> Key Definitions and WinLIRC -> Minimize).

You can also assign that action to skin' buttons if you want

Not sure I understand you. I would just like to click the minimized button and have both the payer and video screen minimized.

ok I see now the skin i was using did not allow me to minimize the video screen.

Only thing is when minimizing the video does not pause. It would be goo if it did pause. Also why does minimizing the video not work with all skins?

If you use the "Boss button method" you can also pause the movie.
It doesn't work with all skins simply because designer/creator of the skin may have chosen differently (as you may read in the tread I linked to).

Ok the Boss button method does work but I would much rather be able to click the minimized button on the player.

Will this be added in a new version of BS player? I don't like pushing F10

Ok, you can do the following tasks:
1. If your skin has .BSZ extension then rename it to have .ZIP extension (otherwise goto step 3)
2. Unzip the skin to a folder of your choice
3. Open the file "skin.ini" with notepad
4. Search for [Buttons] section
5. Now you should see a line like this:

Btn3=minimize,384,1,0,59;$lang.Actions.60

a. Btn3 is the number of the button of the skin (3rd button in this case, but in your skin may be diferent). Don't change it.
b. minimize is the name of the image of the minimize button (you should find three file with similar names minimizeN.bmp minimizeU.bmp and minimizeD.bmp). You only need to know the name of the image of the minimize button to know which button to modify in the skin.ini file.
c. 384,1,0 are coordinates X,Y,BUTTON_TYPE. Don't change it.
d. 59 finally here it's the value you have to modify. 59 means Minimize_to_Systray and you need to change it in 107 (Boss_Button)
e. ;$lang.Actions.60 is the comment of the button, change that 60 in 108
6. Now you have to save the skin.ini file, zip all those files (not the folder, but only the files) and then change the .zip extension back to .bsz

In fact this feature (to include with respect to minimize feature also a pause video option) was included in the original feature request.

@Tizio: maybe it would be a good idea to add it (anew) to the "wish list" in "Feature request/Suggestions"-forum ?

You are right..
I was been really busy lately, but now I have some time to spend again on BSplayer..
I found some bugs I'll report in next days, I'll update the feature request section and maybe I'll finally release BSP SkinMaker v1.07 :P
