sound out of sync
bs player does not fix audio video sync problems. Virtual dub is good for this. It's a free download. With this program in the audio section go to "interleaving" and set the milliseconds to the amount of gap between the audio and the video plus or minus depending upon whether or note the audio is playing in front of or behind the video. Set the video to direct stream copy. Go to file save as and give in a name. Use the < > to pick out a small part of the movie so you can view the result in a short time. Once you get the exact match then save the whole movie. This does not work if the audion and the video are not consistantly out of sync.

Re: sound out of sync
If the total length of audio and video is different, you can 1) multiplex into Matroska container and adjust the audio playback speed (samplerate change would involve re-encoding) 2) correct the video frame rate (does not require Matroska). 3) better get a proper copy of your video |
