For other players it depends on which players you have tried, some of them have codecs bundled in the player. To use BSplayer just install the right codec (you can use GSPot to know which ine you need, as BSPeter already wrote you in the other post). Usually installinf FFDShow should suffice ;) PLEASE, READ BSPeter's "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING" sticky post

BSPlayer doesn't put any file in system32 folder. Codecs do that. Maybe re-registering quartz.dll can help. http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15157#15157 |

When you open such a file, please tell us wich filters are used to play (is it possible to have a filter that conflitts with BSPlayer, such as Nero audiio decoder) ? Open a file, rightclick->options->filters->advanced. |

And use GSPot to know if you have the right codecs installed (and if it's able to render those videos)
