Default BS Player with Vista

I use an old version (1.37). Since I have a new Sony Laptop with Microsoft Vista, the BS Player - running a movie - only has sound but no image. Does anybody know if the old version does not function with Vista?

Try to change rendering mode (CTRL+P -> Video -> Video rendering -> Rendering mode)

"Draw subtitles to Overlay surface" selected?
(under rightclick > Options > Preferences > Subtitles > [Subtitle properties]?)

(Rendering mode now selected? Type of movie? Type of subs? .....)

You can follow BSPeter suggestion and then change back to default rendering mode, it should work now

I have the 2.26 version on Windows Vista and subtitles aren't visible in any movie. I tried upper suggestions and it still isn't working. :(
I changed the subs to .txt, .sub and .srt and was joking around the subtitle preferences with no sucess.
Please help.

Default same problem

I got excatly the same problem as described.

It runs smoothly on my comp. and also on tv. (mvk file) and it shows the subs on the comp. but not at my tv.

I can see they load but never shows no mater what I do.

I run Vista and the free Bsplayer and want to upgrade if this can be solved as it is fare the best player I seen
