Default Gspot fails to render, but Bsplayer can play the file

Hi,
While using old Gspot 2.2, rendering option of Gspot never gave error for playing AVI(divx, xvid) and MPEG etc. files and rendering was successfull.

On same system with same video files and codecs, after trying Gspot 2.6 or 2.7 it had more buttons like Gspot 1,2 and MS 1,2. Gspot 1,2 rendering buttons and rendering gave connection or splitter error or like that. But MS rendering buttons (1,2) works fine. And also Bsplayer can open these files fine with desired filters and plays OK though Gspot's own render claims failing.

So, though Gspot fails about rendering these videos and Bsplayer can open same files fine, is there anything to concern?

Thanks!

Seems a Gspot-problem, rather than a BS.Player-problem.
Note there were several 2.60 version (beta)builds and also a buggy Gspot version 2.70 for just one day (replaced by 2.70a): http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/index.htm

Usually if I have different possible graph to decode movie files, GSpot lets me choose which one to decode (as described by this picture)
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/ss_main.html

Maybe you have selected a broken graph line or it's a GSpot bug

Yes, i think it's a bug in Gspot, it thinks that the video must be decoded in the combination of filters it beleives, but in real they can be played fine with Bsplayer with proper filtering route. I hope you agree.

And some of filter combinations it claims are incorrect and are missing in Gspot, because proper filter combination is done fine by Bsplayer :-)

Note: Even old Gspot (2.2) has one rendering option and it works with no error.
