Hi guys, I am using the last version of BsPlayer and I am having this kind of problem:
Most files (XVID, DiVx, etc.) are played using my ffdshow filter with my contrast/brightness settings. They are played fine.
But some files with more than one audio track are always played with a DiVx logo in the Windows tray, called: DivX Menu Navigator, with the following options:
Quote:
Audio Tracks - Here I can select the track I want to hear. For example, a movie with one english and one spanish track. You can choose.
Subtitle tracks (not available to be selected)
Menus (not available to be selected)
Chapters (not available to be selected)
Video Information (not available to be selected)
DiVx Toolbar Settings

When I click on Toolbar Settings, here's the options:
Quote:
Language settings - Default settings when available
Audio
Subtitles
Preferences
Menu navigator always on top
Enable menu navigator at startup
Notify when movies contain DiVx features
Show Divx logo watermarks
|
And there are more options:
Quote:
Post processing level:
Off
Automatic deblocking
Custom deblocking
Full deblocking with sharpening
Picture properties:
Brightness
Contrast
Saturation
Enable Film Effect?

Now, some informations about the file I am trying to play:
GSPOT says it's using XviD Codec.
MPG-4
N-VOPS - packed bitstream
First audio track:
0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
48000Hz 93 kb/s (1 chnl)
Second audio track:
0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
48000Hz 95 kb/s (1 chnl)
The issues are:
1) I can't alternate audio streams by using my keyboard. This function is called "Cycle audio streams". I am only authorized to do that by clicking (with the mouse, I must add) on this Divx logo on the Windows tray! So I can't use a simple key to change the audio streams. I am forced to do that by clicking on this DiVx logo on the tray.
That's right, when I am playing this file, this function is not working on BsPlayer.
And if that was the worst part... :(
2) The picture lacks the proper brightness/contrast settings. I have looked what filters is using and here's the list:
Default DirectSound Device
AC3Filter
DiVX Decoder Filter
MPEG Layer-3 Decoder
And neither one of them are forcing my brightness/contrast settings from ffdshow which are the correct ones.
Another XVID file from a different video, which is 100% correct, is using these filters when the FFDSHOW is being used (that's what I want):
Default DirectSound Device
AC3Filter
ffdShow Video Decoder
So, what the **** is going on here?
I used to play all kinds of files on BSPlayer (my favorite player over Media Player Classic) and when this is happening I can't watch the movies. It seems that some files are being taken by the DiVX Decoder Filter that is ordering BSPlay to not interfere. And that doesn't make any sense. I want this DiVX Decoder box out of my sight!
