Subtitles upload: is it fair? But for tv shows I usually only refer to a website that has them all, and always first, and that would be addic7ed.com. Since I'm a supporter of that site I was wondering whether it is fair that bsplayer users can upload subtitles that have been downloaded from a site. This means that other users will have the subs without going directly to the site, and although it might seem easier for user, in the long run it would mean that the site gets less visits, and we all know that they are what keeps a website running. So if there would be any chance for them to remain afloat and pay for the costs, it would change in really no time. Is it fair? |

Hello, Gemma. Interesting point of wiev. I am also an addic7ted fan, user and translator, and also on another 2 sites from my country. I am translating subtitles (and often create them from scratch) for more than 12 years now, usually for many new movie releases my team is the first in the world to post subtitles. As a matter of fact, none of them have money problems as we, all translators, do this for free. Addic7ed is fairly new (as we are online for more than 10 years) and if it's strong enough will survive. If not, other projects will do. |
