Running an .MKV file on BSPlayer and it works but it lags really bad.

i downloaded all the necessary codecs (K-Lite Pack, AC3 Filter, CCCP) andi run the video in BSPlayer fine, it just lags a lot.

i just bought this new laptop :

AMD Phenom II Triple-Core Mobile Processor
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics
4 GB RAM
Blu-ray Disc-enabled DVD±RW/CD-RW drive

i dont understand why the video is lagging.
i dont think its the file because the source i downloaded it from had no complaints.

help please

You seem to think that this is something positive .... to the contrary !! .... On this forum we've always advised against codec-packs (and certainly more codec-packs). It is always better (and surely more manageable) to install codecs/filters individually. And then only those codecs/filters which are really needed. Note that more most certainly isn't the equivalent of better! Moreoften it does more harm to your system than good! I would start with uninstalling all packs. (I suppose you installed AC3 filter individually, in which case it is probably OK to keep it.)
Question: when you installed BS.Player, did you allow it to 'internally' (i.e. for use by BS.Player only and not interfering with your system's codecs) install its preferred codecs/filters? What OS are you using and did you install BS.Player with its default settings?
