How to disable notifications in a video?
 

For example, when you increase volume, it says Volume: 100%

Or when you pause, or when you just open a video there are these messages. They are not in the toolbar, they are on video. It didn`t use to bother me before, but now in a new version (2.57) it is written in a huge box, and it is really disturbing.

(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Video > [OSD]
Deselect/uncheck the box "Enable OSD".

P.S.:
There you can also set the size (etc.) of the font used for OSD-messages; just click on the button [OSD font].
