to join the video window to the player window

Hello friends, I have a problem. I would like to join the video playback window to the player window permanently. If I open a file video (for example: .avi) they are united (for setting), but if I open an audio file and then I open a video file again (the previous or another), the windows are detached. How can I do? Thankyou very much!!

Is option "Snap play window to main window" selected?
(under rightclick > Options > Preferences > General [General settings])
