[SOLVED] 2 Problems: Doesn't play audio/Doesn't play video. Hia, I have 2 problems when I installed BS Player after I reinstalled my computer (I also tried when installing the update). I had no problem with BS before that.: All video's play but 3. When I tried to watch movie 1: Audio plays, but video doesn't. (Gives message: Unknow file format (DIV3).) When I tried to watch movie 2 and 3: Video Plays, but audio doesn't. Both seem to be .AVI files (Doesn't give any message, but video just start playing.) Anyone knows how I can solve this? |
What codec/filter does BPlayer now use when playing those files? (rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced). To play Div3 you may install the free DivX 3.11 alpha or (re)install XviD and let it decode DivX content or use ffdshow instead. All can easily be found on the internet. If the sound doesn't play it could be that it is AC3-sound. Did you install AC3 filter? (As mentioned in my Help2Help-post the information that video files are avi-movies is not very informative.) |
1. Install DivX 3.11 alpha and say "Yes" when prompted about replacing the newer file (the one that come with DIvX package is better) 2. Install AC3Filter and DTSac3Source free-codecs.com have all you need. |
Install ffdshow. Nobody encodes to DIV3 and WMA anymore, so the "alpha" package is unnecessary. You need dtsac3source only if you have audio-only *.ac3 and *.dts files. |
