Why AC3Filter 0.70b is the best to SPDIF OUT Hi, I like very much AC3Filter and BSPlayer, i use it to SPDIF OUT when i play Dolby Digital in my PC, i have a sound blaster xtremegamer fatality professional series and a creative ddts-100 dts e ac3 decoder. When i use SPDIF OUT with AC3Filter and BSPlayer it only works with AC3Filter 0.70b, about an year ago a tried more recent AC3Filter versions but i couldn´t have sound, and i am afraid to try now the most recent versions because i heard a guy who couldn´t have sound after tried more recent versions of AC3Filter even with AC3Filter 0.70b, he had to format the PC. My question is there a solution to this now? or i shouldn´t bother since i only use AC3Filter 0.70b to SPDIF OUT and there aren´t benefits of having a more recent AC3Filter version? I am in XP. Also anyone knows how to play DTS movies in the above setup, i.e AC3Filter, BSPlayer, sound blaster xtremegamer fatality professional series and XP? As far as I know, 0.70 was one of the best releases of AC3Filter, and many still uses and recommend this build. Is it working OK for you ? If so, don't change it, no visible benefits. Only if you plan to swich to Windows Vista. |
Thanks for the answer, I though so but that wouldn´t be any benefits but can anyone confirm this? Why there are so much versions after Why AC3Filter 0.70b? |
I use AC3Filter 1.51 and have no problems playing AC3 through SPDIF. I have ExtremeMusic soundcard connected to my receiver with a toslink cable. |
