[SOLVED] MPEG2 audio-video synchronization problem in v.2.41 Hello, When I play a file in BS.Player v 2.41 the audio and video are out of sync :-( (not much but it is noticeable) The file is: video: MPEG2 audio: PPEG1 Layer 2. The file is fine, it plays correctly (in-sync) both in VLC and MPC. I run Pentium M, 1.6Mhz machine, is sufficiently powerful to handle MPEG2. Any ideas? Thanks |
Probably BSPlayer uses another MPEG2 decoder than VLC or MPC, one that by defauld process deinterlacing. |
What are codecs/filters used? With videofile loaded: (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced click on the [+] signs shown for additional info. |
BS.Player uses InterVideo Video Decoder (5.0.11.546) and ffdshow Audio Decoder (1.0.6.2524). If I read the info in MPC right, it also uses InterVideo Video Decoder. How can I change the decoders used? I run default installation, I haven't tweaked anything. Thanks, |
False alarm. I know what happened. The mpeg file was in the same folder as the mp2 and d2v files from which it was built. And for some reason bs.player started playing the mp2 file as audio track to the mpeg. |
New feature...to turn out as a small bug. |
Maybe we should ask to make this new feature a selectable option to possibly prevent this from happening? |
And move to the feature requests ? |
Moved to Answered and Solved Questions and meanwhile suggested to add an http://forum.bsplayer.com/feature-re...html#post37698 . Edit: option added in version 242.1005! |
