Skins not loaded when BSPlayer is on CD Hi, When I play a movie from HD, BSPlayer have a certain skin When I copy this movie on CD, with the BSPlayer's files, BSPlayer doesn't load the skin (present in the CD) defined in my bsplayer.ini (also present on the CD) Structure of the CD : Root : BSPlayer.ini movie.avi autorun.inf Folder BSPlayer -- bsplay.exe -- bsrendv.dll -- Sub-Folder Skins -- -- WinDVDplus2.bsz -- -- etc... Line in BSPlayer.ini : skin=WinDVDplus2 The skin loaded is the Base one, uggly as possible :-) The skin manager called from CD give-me an empty window (no skins available) Any help would be greatly appreciated TIA Sebas |
Maybe BSPlay do not find the INI file. It should be added to the command line in Autorun.inf |
Tx for the answer. BSPlay find the bsplayer.ini, since he load subs, go full screan and everything defined in the ini file. The only thing he doesn't do is to load the correct skin. The name of the skin is correct, I even made a copy-paste from the "skin=" line from the bsplayer.ini that is on the HD. The skin is present on the CD. |
The answer I think... Try to run BSPlayer so that its "Current Directory" is "root\BSPlayer" or what. To do it, make a shortcut, with the starting directroy: "%CDDRIVE%\BSPlayer" where %CDDIRVE% is your CD-Rom drive (who guessed it?). The other way is making a Batch file, but if you can make one by yourself, than I don't meed to tell you all this... I hope that this will help you. Speeder |

Re: Skins not loaded when BSPlayer is on CD Sorry about the last reply. Well, the problem is fixed if we change the ext. of the skin with capslock. bsz -> BSZ. that's all. |
Skin Didn't work, has anyone another suggestion? looks like a bug to me... -------------------------------------------------- Grafical BSPlayer Autostart Menu www.FreeVee.de.vu -------------------------------------------------- |
I`ve noticed the same thing... It`s definately a bug. Hope BST will fix it in BSPlayer v1.0. Don`t you BST :?: :!: :?: :!: :?: :!: |

I eventually have the same problem and I found out only after burning 12 CD's :? Have you solved it? Or are we waiting for the next release (i.e. it is a bug) ? |
Well, I had the same bug, but here is a workaround : I put the following options in my ini file: [Options] RunHD=2 and burn my CD with an OLD version of BsPlayer (0.86 build 493) So when the BsPlayer starts from CD, it founds that a NEWER version is present on my PC and restart with it ! The advantage is great : you always use the last version that is installed on the computer, and you can still play the movie on another computer where BsPlayer isn't installed !!! And last but not least, you can use your favourite skin that is configured on your computer ... That's all folks ! :D |

So I had this idea: each skin is a .bsz file which is actually a zipped folder of files renamed. I thought: what if the problem is this compressed skin file? So I changed the ext. of my favourite skin into .zip then I unzipped it and I renamed the folder I got as "Base" (of course I deleted the original base skin). This way it worked: I had chosen the Metallized skin because it has that useful command bar on Full screen and I can now use Metallized always as a default from CD. I haven't tried to unzip all other skins to see if I could change skins from CD. Maybe the problem was not the compressed file but anyhow that gave me the idea and now it works as I wanted. Until further upgrade :D |
