DynDNS/internet support BS.player is the only way I have found to be able to stream or directly play video from my NAS disk on my LAN to my Asus Transformer. It works Great! However it would have been great to be able to accsess my NAS from internet and stream movies while i am not at home. I have a DynDNS setup that give me internet WEB and FTP access to my NAS, but I am not able to connect to my NAS with BS.player in LAN mode when I use the DynDNS address. Is this possible? |
I'm assuming the NAS shares out files via samba? I'm thinking this would require some ssh tunneling and/or port access/forwarding rules. |
Since operators may block smb messages, perhaps providing a dlna client inside bsplayer could be an idea. Just a thought. |
