Hdmi output and subtitles Hello, When plugging a device to a TV set using HDMI cable, the video is played nicely on the TV, but the subtitles are rendered on the device, not on the TV. Do you plan to address this defect ? (Found a thread that relates to this problem, but it is 10 months old and the problem is still there) Tested with both an SGS2 phone and a Transformer Pad Infinity tablet. In fact, it looks that this problem shows up with other players like MPlayer. Cheers Philippe |
This issue is not caused by media player(s), but the Android system itself, and we cannot do anything about it atm. |
Too bad Thank you for this info |
vlc beta shows! HI! I have the same problem on my Transformer tablet. Strangely though, the beta version of VLC outputs subtitles to the tv. Can it be the android system then? What has the vlc team managed? Due to other problems with this program, I'd still prefer BS player, but it's a shame with the no output subtitle problem. Cheers, Jobbanders |
Both BSPlayer and VLC can display subtitles over HDMI but only in SW mode! |
