Feature Suggestion (Playlist)
 

I would like to see an added feature instead of

'add all files' in the folder, I would like an option to 'add all similar files'

I have a full folder with like 200+ files on a SAMBA share and bs player will crash trying to add them all too the play list!

So it would be handy to have an option to only add similar files to the play list instead of turning it off completely.

How do you see "similar files"? By filetype or video/audio?
It shouldn't crash even if there would be thousands of files. What kind of files are present in the folder?

there were a little over 300 video files.

every time I tried to play 1 file, it would try to add the rest of the files to the playlist and crash in the process.

I would like it to base the similar files on filenames.

such as if i'm trying to play a tv series with a bunch of episodes named similarly I would like to add all the episodes.

similar to how kmplayer and potplayer on the PC do it.

or if i'm playing music videos and I have a bunch from the same artist, I would like it to add all similarly named from from the same artist.

Playlist - remove all
 

How about an option to remove all items from a playlist? The first time I watched a video 172 items were automatically added, rendering the playlist unusable! Removing them one at a time is crazy!

You can delete entire PL at once. Long tap on PL and select Delete. Also you can turn media scanner off, so it won't scan anymore.

Great news, thanks. I suspecct you are talking about the Play Queue since we have nothing called PlayList. So where exactly do you long tap to remove them all at once? When in Play Queue, if you long tap on a movie it only deletes that movie. If you long tap in an open space of that screen, nothing happens.

Media scanner creates Play lists, one per each folder. These can be deleted one at a time (long tap>delete).
Entire Play queue can be deleted from Preferences>Delete History.
