BS Player Free compatible, BS Player paid isn't!!? FIXED!!!

I found some time ago that BSPlayer was the best and would play everything I tried. It also has a nice customisable user interface.
I noticed that the paid version has an audio preamp setting so I've just bought it from the Play store.
It installs OK on my Xoom and on my Huawei phone, but on my Ainol Novo 7 Fire, the play store says incompatible. But I've been running the free version on the Ainol since I got it!
I tried the usual fix, which is to change the screen DPI from the non standard 200 to the standard 160, but the Play Store still won't let me install it on the Ainol. Which I bought for the primary purpose of watching movies via BSPlayer...
Any ideas for a fix please!?
I can send a copy of the build prop file to someone from BSPlayer if it helps.
I tried registering for 'pro' support, but it doesn't seem to know about the Android users.

If the FREE version works, full should work also. The engine used in both is the same.

We don't know why Play marks it as incompatible, you should ask them directly.

I assume this is some sort of joke and am saddened by this unhelpful response. It is the app provider who determines the criteria, not Google.
Unfortunately, I've lost my payment now since more than 15 minutes has elapsed since the download.
Not good.

Unfortunately, this is the only answer we can give you. We cannot select/enable Ainol in Google Play, it is not displayed in the list of available hardware manufacturers.

Ah!. Chinese manufacturer emulates someone else's tablet...
Thanks for looking.

I'm delighted to say I've fixed this!. I tried the method suggested in the notes on the play store app page, clearing the play store cache. But that didn't work.
However, clearing the DATA for the Play store, followed by clearing the Davlick cache and cache, then rebooting, did work!!!:happyroll:
