How to quit when playing in background I'm new to bsplayer and use the "play files in background" option on my android tablet. (allowing me to browse the net while the audio or video is playing in the background). I can't figure out how to quit the application when I do this. Using the back arrow still has the file playing in the background. (Of course I can pause the playback...but this is not the same as quitting the app.) Hopefully this is something simple I am overlooking. |
Pause/Stop then quit app. Alternatively, disable background playback, and use long tap on BACK when you do want to play media in background. |
still have question re: long tap Two questions: 1. does the pause/ then back arrow actually quit the app or is it just silent. 2.More importantly, your instructions for long tap on BACK do not seem to work for me. When I long press the back arrow on my tablet the playback stops. Please help. Thanks |
Setting gestures in BSPlayer 1. Pausing then going BACK until app closes, will completely close app. (or you can define your own shortcut to Close app eg. long tap on button MENU instantly closes app without popup window, while long tap on BACK puts BSPlayer in background and opens popup window). This is fully customizable in Settings>Gestures. 2. It should work, unless you manually changed function of Long tap in Gestures. Which tablet do you use? |
Device Info To answer your question. The Tablet in question is the new Nexus 10. The program works exactly as you describe on my Samsung Galaxy III and on my Toshiba Thrive Tablet. It is only on the Nexus 10 (with Jelly Bean) that the long press does not work. I look forward to a fix |
Interesting, we will check this. |

Anytime I push the power button to reactivate the phone, the video is jump back to the start. Configuration: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 BS Player Free Android 4.1.2 TS File from a Networkshare Is there a solution for that? Best, Lutz |
