Not all LAN video files are showing up in shared folders

Did a factory reset on my tablet and reinstalled BSP

I have my wifi LAN network connected again and am able to stream videos from my PC to Android.

However, not ALL of the video files in my shared pc folders are being displayed. For example only some of the .mp4 files will show up in LAN mode, while others will not. The same with .avi files.

The video files that ARE displayed play/stream fine.

Any suggestions as to why some files won't show up?

do all the files have the same extension?
