Cache/read ahead
 

Hi!
Thank you for a great player !!!

When I play a movie from CD , sometimes (good quality movie, fast scene, may probelms with reader), the player is freezing.
The same happens when I read a movie from a network (wireless 11 Mpbs)
The suggestion is :
- Create a read ahead mechanism that will allow to pre-read the movie from CD (or net) and store it in hard drive/memory
- The values should be configurable with a reasonable limit ( = percentage of free memory and/or fixed and reserved amount of hard disk space)
- May be double buffering (disk - memory ) is good idea (may be not)

Open question: what to do with already played part ?
What will be the behavoir if the user goes back few seconds ?
What about jump ?
