playing .avi without index?

it bothers me, when i'm downloading a movie and i want check it, i have to make a copy, run divfix a finnaly check the movie
this feature has linux's mplayer
another application: playing directly from the http/ftp

Did you try to enter an URL in Load file command [L]???
