No audio at all...please help me
 

Im new using bs player. I have installed it recently in my computer and since then I could't listen any audio anymore in the films that I play.
I can see the image and the subtitles but there is no audio at all
Can anybody explain to me if it is necessary any plug in for audio.

Probably you lack an AC3 codec.

Note in build released today (=803) some problems with WinAmp plugins have been fixed.

using bsplayer 1.00, downloaded here, divx player 5.1 plays with sound, win media pl 9 en powerdvd 5.0 without just like bsplayer, bsplayer 0.8 also without sound.
gspot shows i should beable to play it

What is the audio format?

Please take notes, AC3 decoding with Intervideo decoder needs to be done via waveout and not directsound
If using ReClock, simply desable "Use DirectSound interface for PCM output"

theaudio format is
code 0 0055
wave format MPEGLAYER 3
iso/mpeg, the codec installed is the fraunhofer11s mpeg layer 3 codec,
rendering gspot direct show gives no audio rendering only video
I can't play any divx movie with sound on those 3 players (power dvd win mpl 9 en bsplayer only with the divx player.

Probably is about the hacked codec that come with divx3.11 you need. Searc for it and when installing, say yes to replace the codec.

In the beginning there was light.
Now there is sound! :D



installed divx 3.11 no effect and also installed mn 9 codec pack.

But not yet together

I couldn`t get sound with newest BSP and ffdshow (sound codec AC3). In older BSP was everything fine, it used different audio codec. And now it is using ffdshow audio. I tried two codecs from ffdshow list and nothing.
But .. I got sound with new AC3 codecs. There is still ffdshow audio on list, but BSP is using different codec. Watching movie without sound is kinda .. funny ;)
