.avi error

Hello
I tried to open a .avi movie with BS Player, but then the following error appears:
Unknown file format (DIV3)
I can play the movie with DivX, but then i dont have subtitles
I can remember that i have seen the movie before with subtitles, but i dont know how any more :(
Who can help me?

Install DivX 3.11 or later
