Could there be an option that play button wouldn't start playing the last file u watched plz...

Workaround:
Remove file(s) from playlist [you can even do that while the file is still playing] (rightclick) > Playlist > rightclick in playlist (etc) AND make sure "Remember movie settings" isn't selected under (rightclick) > Options > Preferences > General
