2 additional playback rates I suggest 2 additional steps for the playback rates: 95,9% and 104,27% (that's 23,976 fps to 25 fps and back), or simply 95% and 105%. This could fix the audio frequency in badly done NTSC to PAL conversions (and maybe other conversion things) and is easy to add. Thanks |
If you wont mind, a film is orginaly done at 23.976 fps. So, its nearly 24fps, and for PAL - there is not converison, the speed-up no-one recongizes, only audio is cripled (faster) - same as video. But for NTSC, DVD rips are 30fps (29.970), and these are onyl computed added frames, so, they got removed, when guys making an DVD rip, so, the result is 99% of times 23.976fps movies - as orginaly made. There is not point for this speed-up thingies. Got it straight? |

When I'm used to hear an actor/actress in NTSC videos, it's irritating to listen to him/her in PAL videos (PAL converted from film or NTSC). Even with a corrected pitch it's still too fast. |
