OSD outline, and steady jump speed Maybe I'm blind and it's already there somewhere but it'd be nice if the OSD had an outline, I use white text for the volume, and position through the movie because normally I watch dark scenes, however if it's a white scene the OSD is invisible... just like the default mouse cursor is white with a black border so it can be seen on anything, so should be the OSD! On a separate note the fast forward in bsplayer seems to be variable speed, the longer you hold it the further it skips, normally this is fine but it'd be nice to hold shift and arrow back/forward to jump at a steady rate -Thanks |

(Default function for Shift+arrow key is "Subtitles time correction".) With respect to playback there are (not mentioning Next/Previous Chapter jumps) several functions, which may perhaps be confusing and consequently mixed up. (Note I can - of course - only give default keys.)
Further, if - while playing a movie - you rightclick, select "Playback" and then "Playback rate" there is (i.a.) also an option to select "2x". With this option you keep sound. (There is a funny Winamp plug in which you could use with this; check out this post (click here). http://members.home.nl/van.raak/wink.gif *): There are also skins which provide in fast forward/backward buttons. E.g. try this one (but there are plenty others in BSPlayer's skins-division!!) |
Ok I ment jump not fast forward, and shift was an example, didn't know it defaulted to subtitle time correction as I havn't used it. Seems I'm an idiot and thought the arrows defaulted to the jump when they are seek, does simmilar enough things I didn't notice. However this does bring up another idea can you implement a jump to next scene feature? (or am I still an idiot and it's already in there somewhere) I'm not sure how it does it but I have seen it done, probably by if more than x pixels change it's a new scene but I don't know how these things work. Oh and the more important part of my sugestion was about the outline on the osd. Is this being worked on? Is there a reason why it's a bad idea? |
