Set specific Repeat mode I am writing a small application in Visual Basic that calls BSplayer and plays some files. It's a custom application that I need for my work in the Corporate Event Staging industry. Unfortunately, I really need to set the Repeat mode via VB code, but it doesn't look like that's currently possible. Unless I am missing something, it looks like I can increment the Repeat mode by one value, and thus cycle through all the possible Repeat modes -- but that is not what I need. I need to set a specific Repeat mode. To be more precise, I either need to tell BSplayer to set the Repeat mode to "Repeat Off" or set it to "Repeat One". Could you please implement additional "messages" that would allow for this functionality? I would really really appreciate it! Thank you! |
I'm no programmer, but isn't it possible to find out present status within the cycle using SendMessage-command (see sdk-folder) and, depending on value returned, increment repeat mode such number of times till the intended status within the cycle is reached? |
I don't think it's possible to get the current repeat mode by sending a message. I think the best thing you can do is check the value of the repeat mode in the BSplayer.[user].xml file when BSplayer starts and keep track of this value in your VB application when you change it. It goes without saying that when a user manually changes the repeat mode via the BSplayer GUI, your program will no longer be "in sync" with the repeat mode. Rafke P. |
I am still hoping for a way to set a specific repeat mode (as opposed to cycling through modes). Alternately, I am looking for a way to ask the player which repeat mode it is currently in. Does anyone know if a plug-in could be written to somehow make this possible? I must admit I don't know how to write a plug-in... Any sample code, links to resources, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Or is there a chance the functionality I am looking for (see my first post in this thread) could be added by the development team? |
