Play segmented TS (mpeg2) files seamlessly I have some large TS (hi def mpeg2 files) that are split like this foo.001.ts foo.002.ts foo.003.ts etc. when downloaded from the net. I like to be able to play them seamlessly, with no visible pause / break in between. Right now i have to join the files together first otherwise when I play them back, there's a 1/2 sec delay between segments where the screen goes black. What would be ideal is if bsplayer can recognize these are all one file, and treat them like a single movie so that the slider and time display work properly, i.e., when you drag the slider to the middle, it jumps to the middle of the movie, not the current segment. the only player I know of that does this is theatertek, but I have other problems with it. |
Yea, this would be great: gapless playback like Foobar2000. The same thing would be useful for MPEG-2 Program Streams (VOBs) from DVDs. |
