CODECS Hi, this is the first media player I have paid for and overall seems like a nice package. One of the key reasons I invested in it was it is advertised on your site as being able to read most video files and comes with a strong codec base. However I find that about half the videos I download in fact do not work (no image just sound or vice versa). As so many codec packs are supposed to contain viruses I am a bit stuck as to what to do (and not sure where I can place them in pc anyways). Any help appreciated as stuff I watch is mainly from penpals in Asia (korea and japan primarily)? Any plans to increase the size of your codec pack also? Help very much appreciated |
Sorry, but BSPlayer doesn't come with any codec. If you want to play all the media you want you must install codecs and splitters for the specific format. http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=3042 |

Perhaps read items (3) and (4) of my Help2Help-post a.k.a. "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING". (It will not hurt to read it entirely.) |
ok have read more. very good advice is given but tbh think that for an app u pay for most want a point and click and it just works. however I must admit this seems to be the best media player out there for most files. The ac3 download seemed to have halved the issues. So thanks for that. Still a few issues with certain movies that have to run on other applications for now. (look forward to this being a all in one solution :D ) Will post the video info in a minute using the gspot thingy u advise and hope you can help. Also a handfull of subs don't work but these only ever seem to work on friends korean players, so hope you can b the first western one to get this sorted (as I can't understand anything it says :( ) I'm getting there hope you will be patient with me  |
