HTML tags in subtitles Hi, will there ever be support for simple HTML tags (like [b] or [i]) in subtitles? I've just got subtitles, which contains this format and it's not nice seeing this tags not applicated... |
Re: HTML tags in subtitles Simple HTML tags, like "i" or "b" are supported, but they must be lowercase. |

Strongly recommend fully html tags support, thanks. |
AFAIK, it supports also font color tags. |

Even those tags, that are supported, are not properly displayed for three reasons: they must be lowercase, text is not unicode, and overall content is displayed piece-wise, one block after another, that gets RTL languages shuffled. There is, though, a better way to display HTML on windows - it is to transfer all the content to RTF and use TextServices COM class (known otherwise as windowless RTF) to render it on HDC. This way unicode HTML can be displayed properly using only ANSI strings. |
