[SOLVED] 3gp support

Well, my suggestion is that next version of BSplayer must support 3gp data files if that is possible.
Right now the BSplayer is the only video player in my computer I use...but the problem is when I want to watch video clips from my mobile. Then I must use some very bad 3gp players.

So if its possible I think that will be a big plus for BSplayer.

Thanks

Re: 3gp support

BSPlayer doesn't support any video formats. The installed DirectShow filters do that. It should be possible to get 3GPP decoded by ffdshow, but you'll need a good MP4 splitter to handle the container (while not breaking support for regular MP4's and MOV's).

If you have an MP4 splitter, such as Gabest, and an MP4 decoder, such as Nero, you can play such files with no problems. Just rename them with the MP4 extension instead of 3GP.

No need to rename.

Just use Haali Media Splitter + ffdshow.

Indeed, DirectShow rarely takes into account the file extension.
