compressing subtitles I know text files subtiltles files are not that big, but it would be nice to include the possibility to have rared sub files (I know there is a dll to easyly read rar archives) they could be specified in bsi/ini files like this: [Subtitles] Sub1=Fran?§ais|french.rar Another option (even better) would be to include all subtitles files in one rar archive and to use filenames (without extention) as language names: [Subtitles] Subs=subtitles.rar the space used by the subtitles can be easyly divided by factor 2 or more like this... Thanks for this great software ! John[/code] |
What subtitle format are you using? Some formats produce much larger files than others. Try the MicroDVD format - it's so small that you can't seriously want to compress that any further! For instance, a 3 hour movie makes subtitles about 70kB large. Why would you want anything smaller than that?!? To find subtitle tools including converters, go to Divx Digest. Cheers, Smarties :P |
