SOLVED) problem with saving films with subtitles!

When I play a movie (.avi) in BSPlayer, everything is normal.
When I add subtitles (.srt), I can play the movie,
but when I try to save the movie (in avi) BS player says: 'Saving error' or something like that.
Next, when I look to the saved file, it's the same film, without subtitles!

(I hope you all can understand my, a little bit broken English . And, I have the free version.)

Tnx!

BSplayer does not edit files, so it won't save the file with the subtitles included. If you want to do that you will need dedicated software, such as VirtualDub or MKVtoolnix or ...ask for an advice.

oh, thnx. But... what can you do with 'save as' then? And, wich program is the best, or the best for use?

If you open a streaming file, you can save it AS ;)

If you want to put the subtitle on the picture (can't be modified) like on a DVD, you can use VirtualDub and VobSub (VSfilter). Othewise, use MKV Toolnix or find a tool that can embed subtitles into an AVi file.

Ok.
(So putting subtitles on the picture is something else as embedding subtitles to a avi file?)

Yes. If you embedd the subtitle into a container (AVI, OGM, MKV) you can disable the subtitle (soft subtitles)
If you add the subtitle onto the image (bitmap on the bitmap) the subtitles will remain there and won't be disabled ever (hard subtitles)

OK.
It's done. I've downloaded avidemux, and now i can watch without translate it every second for my brother (and a bit for me... ).
