Please give us your suggestions for ranking system for BS.Player forum.

Our suggestion for rank system is:
1. BS.Player Newbie - 1 post
2. BS.player Regular User - 10 posts
3. BS.Player Power User - 100 posts
4. BS.Player Master - 2000 posts

I am moderator/admin on some sites and I can tell you, most of the people want personalised ranks. They want to name themselves. If this can be an option, I vote for that.

PS: I now you can, it's PHPBB

These automated ranks reward chatty users, not experts or masters. Three lines below is the exact post counter and there is no need to alias it into rank aswell. I think there should be a few ranks assigned manaully. You could start with yourself.

Call yourself an Administrator, BSPeter, Adicoto and Tizio – Masters. Active users not shown themselves enough for a master but who still have provided valuable help could be called Supporters. I recall Grendizer had written nice tutorial about DirectShow, while he participated in discussions rarely. Regular translation contributors would be Translators.

This way the titles would bear more respect.

Interesting thoughts... very applicable to translators for example.

Send us rank name you want to have and we will try to assign it to your nick...

(A long as it is not "Supreme Universe Overlord" or something like that) :D

He has been downgraded because of his thoughts about the "Supreme Universe Overlord" rank.
In my opinion he should have been banned for that :twisted:
