Maintaining aspect ratio on overlay video Hi! I'm currently using a HDTV as a second display thru the conponent TV out of my graphic card. The videos, usually xvid, keeps the original aspect ratio on the primary display but streches the video vertically on the HDTV. (Public Enemies for example). I would like to get bsplayer to respect the original aspect ratio on the overlay as well. Anybody knows how to do it? I'm an non native english speaker so I would also need the subtitles drawn on the overlay video. Thanks in advance for your answers!! |
For aspect ratio (incl. the shortcut keys you can use) perhaps have a look under (rightclick >) Video > Aspect ratio (& "Keep aspect ratio" just below that). Maybe also verify setting under (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Playlist Is "Draw subtitles to Overlay surface" selected/checked under (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Subtitles [Subtitle properties] ? P.S.: Also verify if your graphic-card's settings for 2nd display are correct. |
Thanks for replying! "Keep aspect ratio" is checked. I actually have the correct aspect ratio on my primary display but the video overlay on the 2nd display automatically streches the picture, losing the original AR. The graphic card setting is only activate/deactivate, so I don“t think the problem comes from there. The "Draw subtitles to Overlay surface" option works great!! Thanks |
