hello. thanks for the quick response. i did uncheck the option "Seek by keyframes", didn't help. it is weird, when i pause the video and clicking the arrow keys, i can see that the frames are changing. But the video picture is still won't move forward or backward. You mentioned it could depend on codecs. I tried to move with arrows through MP4, AVI, MKV, WMV files. Always the same. Picture is still, but the number of frames are changing when clicking the arrow keys... also, what did you mean with the following: "Almost forgot: don't use "overlay mixer" for video rendering" what is an overlay mixer? thank you for your time. peter |
Overlay Mixer is one of the rendering options you can choose as "Rendering mode" under: (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Video > [Video rendering] e.g. try "Internal renderer Direct Draw surface" or "Internal renderer overlay" P.S.: BS.Player version & build nr? Your PC's OS? |

I have had the same problem and changing video rendering to "Internal renderer Direct Draw surface" solved this problem! Now I can seek frame by frame! My OS is Windows 7 (64bit). |
