Screen tear on the right side of video I have this problem that when I watch videos on the newest BSPlayer or Media Classic Player, I get this screen tear on the right side, it's like a straight line from top to bottom that flashes with different colors all the time. I'm using a monitor with 1366x768 resolution and it works fine if I turn the resolution down a bit. The funny thing is that older versions of BSPlayer don't have this problem, yet sometimes I cannot see any subtitles on h264 files. Any solution for this problem? I'm using CCCP codecs. |
1366x768 monitor it's rather unusual (TV-out in fact ?). Usually, the monitors have 1280x800 or 1440x1080 resolutions. On the other side, probably it's caused by a faulty filter (either Haali media splitter or H264 decoder). Try to update them or, if updated, roll back to the previous version. |
I updated the Haali Media Splitter but it didn't improve anything. Also, the problem occurs in normal avi files too so I don't think updating the h264 decoder will help. |

Thank you for the response. I know that setting the resolution down a bit (I can even do 1360x768) will solve the problem but I'm just trying to figure out why newer players have this problem while older bsplayer versions and a new Zoomplayer version don't have this problem. The reason why I don't want to have a lower resolution is because most people suggest that the monitor should always run at its native resolution but I don't know if this is true. I doubt I would notice any difference between 1360x768 and 1366x768. |
